Before the Color is applied, we've tried very hard to make sure that all of the metalwork is done, so there is no drilling or welding needed after paint. It sounds easy enough, but no matter how thorough you try to be, it always seems that once you start wiring the electrical and installing the upholstery, you end up having to make adjustments. So we pre-wired the lights and gauges and finished the upholstery first.
All the upholstery is complete save for the top insert, headliner, header, and wind lacing. Basically we completed everything that could come in and out without cutting, de-stitching, or yanking glue. Here are a couple overhead shots before we took it all out again before the trip to California. Notice the patent-pending booties Mark created for the camera ready tires.
I'm sure that we'll come up against something we forgot, but we made a good effort so hopefully the drilled paint should be minimal.
