Can you imagine driving down the street, minding your own business, then suddenly realizing that you're passing between John Milner's deuce and Bob Falfa's wicked '55 Chevy? The stuff dreams are made of I'm sure. I wonder how many people stopped to see who answered the door at Steve Fitch's house back then. I sure would have stopped. With tears in my eyes probably.
When Steve picked up the Coupe in Hollywood it was missing a few parts, and was more than a little abused. He replaced a few worn items and found most of the proper parts to bring it back to movie speed. He cleaned and polished but did not paint. Once finished, it looked great.
