As much as we Graffiti-ites like to keep our head in 1962 and the relative nirvana of those earlier times, it's now nearly impossible to ignore the mountain of crazy that is descending upon us from all points D.C.. Doing your own thing and being responsible for yourself were givens when this nation was formed and pretty much through WWII. Our only entitlements were written in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. And despite President Reagan's best efforts to reverse the growth of our federal government, every other president since the war has overseen unbridled congressional gluttony and a ridiculous pendulum of supposed civil rights 'given' to one segment of society by taking them from another. And while the labor unions have insured the demise of American industry, the federal government has joined them in a locked goose step to bankrupt the average American citizen. Maybe it's time we hit the brakes.
Mark Steyn of the Washington Times last week compared President Obama's latest proposals to the EU's misguided attempts to help Greece. We pass it along here because we should all know this stuff. And remember, come the next two elections, vote "anybody but the incumbent".

And now back to our regularly scheduled programing...
