The Films Of The Seventies - 1982

The appropriately named Robert Bookbinder authored this recap in 1982. He writes a very dry synopsis of the storyline but gives the film and it's director high praise for American Graffiti. Describing the movie as landmark, he tells about Francis Ford Coppola's offer to buy it outright as a Universal Studio's suit criticized it as 'unsatisfactory' after a preview showing.
